Quick and Easy Breakfast Oatmeal

Quick and easy breakfast oatmeal with omega-3 rich hemp and chia seeds.

Healthy oatmeal topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and edible flowers.

Ingredients

2/3 cup rolled oatmeal

1/2 cup unsweetened plant-based milk (almond, coconut, oat)

Pinch ground cinnamon

Pinch ground nutmeg

2 TBSP hemp seeds

2 TBSP chia seeds

1 TBSP nut butter (almond, peanut butter, etc)

1/2 TSP vanilla extract

Berries, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring the oats and 2/3 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the milk, ginger, cinnamon or nutmeg. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally,  until oats are tender.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the hemp seeds, chia seeds, nut butter, and vanilla. Taste and add anything else if needed for your desired taste.
  3. Serve with berries if desired.
